Dogs in the Team

Dogs in the Team Puppies Athlete of the Month Yearling of the Month

The dogs listed here are mainly the dogs in training. However, there are a few sentimental favorites here also. So while they may not be on the team, they are important members of our family.

Sting

Our old retired leader, but still a very important member of the family. We still have never encountered a dog like Sting. He is fast, tough and always happy. He would take you through a snow storm, blizzard, open water and not bat an eye. Sting is the leader of the yard and he knows it!

Iditarod Finisher.

Dover

7 Years Old. A little leader that still acts like a puppy. She is a tiny dog with a big heart. She and Sting have been our main leaders for a long time. She has lead every step of the way for two Iditarods. Like Sting, she would lead you through open water, blizzards, anything you ask of her she'll do. A tough little girl.

Iditarod Finisher.

Snap

8 Year Old. A dog we got from Rick Swenson in 2000. He is one fast dog. He didn't start out being a leader, but over the last few years has grown into a steady leader we can count on. He lead every step of the way in Iditarod 2005.

Iditarod Finisher.

Diesel

8 Year Old. We got him from Mitch Seavey in 2002. Diesel has finished every race since we got him. He is a good team dog that never tires. Watch him at hook up though. He goes crazy and jumps all over the place, usually ending up on the back of the dog next to him. A great dog to have in your team.

Iditarod Finisher.

Max

7 Year Old. Max has finished every race Peter has entered. He is a big guy at about 65 pounds, but a huge asset for his strength. He is a team dog. We don't like to leave home without him.

 Iditarod Finisher.

Willie

7 Year Old. We did a split litter with Raymie Redington to get Willie. Another big guy at about 65 pounds. He may be big, but he is fast. He runs lead in training, but has yet to be a race leader. He loves to play catch with the tennis ball and destroy squeeker toys.

Iditarod Finisher.

Simba

6 Year Old. Same breeding as Max, but different litter. He was an only pup and has some insecurities, but is a great dog to have in the team. He seems to improve every year. Eats everything in sight and loves to run.

 Iditarod Finisher.

Angus

5 Years Old. A super fast dog, that eats everything in sight. He is a great cheerleader to have on your team. He eats so aggressivley he turns heads. It took him awhile to catch on, but well worth the wait.

 Iditarod Finisher.

Greyling

7 Years Old. We bought him from Dean Osmar in 2003. He is a good honost dog. He is not the fastest dog, but always has a tight line and is always there in the end. A happy dog that is a joy to have around.

Iditarod Finisher.

Gannon

4 Years Old. A little tiny leader prospect. She is fast as can be, but is just learning responsibility. A nice hard worker for her size and a great pace setter.

Worsely

4 Years Old. A half brother to Angus, Worsely is also an aggressive eater. He is fast and TOUGH. A leader in the making.

Modoc

3 Years Old. A nice young dog. Has a lot of speed, just looking to put it to good use. A friendly all around nice dog. Hoping he will show good things this winter.

Bram

3 Years Old. Modoc's brother. A big furry friendly dog. A nice athlete, we can't wait to see what this litter is going to turn out to be.

Babar

3 Years Old. Brother to Modoc. Another real nice young dog. Has shown some promise in lead. Super fast, happy dog. Again, hoping to see good things this winter.

Billie

3 Years Old. Another young leader prospect. She is fast and seems to feel comfortable in lead. A nice friendly good all around dog.

Emmie

3 Years Old. Billie's sister. Another real nice young dog. She is crazy and a real hard worker. It will be fun to see what she does this winter.
